Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Stevens Point, $1,297 was raised for CAP Services (Women’s & Children’s Shelter). Prevail Bank pledged $1 for every pound of paper, up to $1,000, and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 2,000 pounds of paper to be safely destroyed and recycled! The Uplift Foundation of Portage County received $2,500 from Prevail Bank to support its one-time, crisis funding program for women in need. Its two vehicles are used to respond to calls of abuse and neglect, and to transport animals that require emergency medical care to Appleton and Madison.
