Consumer Lending Coordinator - Remote/hybrid (based in Stevens Point, WI)

Start Date: As soon as possible                            
Starting Pay: $21.07 - $23.18 per hour, depending on experience
Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Duties: Engage in outreach activities to recruit and identify potential program participants.  External contacts involve an ongoing commitment to build and maintain working relationships with other organizations with the community on behalf of CAP Services (more than 25% of time).
 
Enroll applicants for CAP’s Consumer Lending programs, review client applications and coordinate underwriting activities.  Work closely with supervisor on the submission of loan requests and follow up with clients on the outcome. Assist with loan servicing, including collections and loan modifications when necessary. Link participants with other resources as needed, both internally at CAP Services and in the community. 
 
Responsible for collection and documentation of participant demographic information and related program activities (monthly, quarterly, annually). Assists Supervisor with timely, complete and concise reports and data collection on program activities by the agency and funding source. 
 
Be familiar with expectations of funding contracts for the programs.  Participate in group meetings with the department to establish and evaluate departmental objectives.
 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in related field (accounting, finance, business communication);
  • Or non-related BA/BS degree and one year experience in housing counseling, financial literacy, accounting, consumer or residential mortgage lending;
  • OR Associate Degree in related field and three years experience in housing counseling, financial literacy, accounting, consumer or residential mortgage lending;
  • OR high school diploma and five years experience housing counseling, financial literacy, accounting, consumer or residential mortgage lending. 
  • Must be able to travel independently up to 500 miles per month and have access to an insured vehicle.
