WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Jessica Tellez of Marshfield is the recipient of this year’s Bill Babcock Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a non-traditional student attending Mid-State Technical College in a healthcare-related field.
Tellez is enrolled in Mid-State’s nursing program and hopes to pursue roles in critical care, oncology, and palliative care. Upon receiving the scholarship, she wrote, “Your support allows me to continue preparing to provide skilled, compassionate, and safe care to our patient community and to provide my family with a better quality of life. Thank you for helping make this dream possible!”
Bill Babcock was a registered nurse in Aspirus Riverview Hospital’s surgery department for many years and made an impact on countless people with his words, actions, and unwavering support.
Aspirus Riverview Foundation strives to support community-based efforts that align with improving the community's greatest health and wellness needs. Donations to the Bill Babcock Memorial Scholarship fund may be mailed to Aspirus Riverview Foundation, 410 Dewey Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, 54494.
